Palace Fields Primary School

The Governors of Palace Fields Primary School are looking to appoint a motivated, inspiring and dedicated teacher to join a team of staff committed to delivering the highest standards of education.

Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Main or Upper Teacher Scale + SEN allowance. A minimum of £2,384 and a maximum of £4,703 dependent on experience.

Required: 1 st September 2025 Class teacher in Resource Base with assistant SENDCo responsibility. Not suitable for ECTs. The Governors of Palace Fields Primary School are looking to appoint a motivated, inspiring and dedicated teacher to join a team of staff committed to delivering the highest standards of education. We are looking for an outstanding teacher to lead our 10 place, KS2 resource base for children with cognition and learning needs.

Applicants will need to:

  • Have experience of working with children with additional needs.
  • Be committed to all children achieving success with a strong working knowledge of the SEN code of practice.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to establishing high expectations and ensuring continuous progress and school improvement.
  • Have outstanding teaching skills which motivate and inspire children
  • Be committed to inclusion
  • Engage in all aspects of school life
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop effective relationships with parents, external agencies and the wider school community
  • Liaise with external professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech therapists, and other specialists, to secure additional support for SEND students where necessary.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) reviews.
  • Track and report on the progress of SEND students, analysing data to evaluate the impact of interventions and teaching strategies.
